Suction Filters
To protect the hydraulic gear pump and valves within the circuit a suction filter is fitted to the inlet of the pump. These filters are constructed from Stainless steel wire mesh woven to give and aperture size of less than 90 microns. The filter has a BSP thread to connect to a suction tuber into the hydraulic gear pump. Each hydraulic filter is situated near the base of the reservoir to allow maximum oil volume to be drawn from the tank. When locating the powerpack the orientation of the suction filter is important.
Hydraulic filters can be cleaned or replaced in accordance with the recommendations in Hydraproducts O&M manual.
