Mounting and Orientation
Hydraulic power packs can be arranged for either horizontal or vertical mounting. This decision affects how the units are manufactured in respect of the position of the suction filter and filler breather. The pack is assembled to ensure that the maximum amount of oil is utilized from the hydraulic tank minimizing the possibility of cavitation of the gear pump.
The oil reservoir is configured so the filling point is uppermost enabling maximum oil capacity for a given volume size. Positioning of the electrical and hose connections and control valves is also taken into account to enable ease of operation and adjustment. The hydraulic power packs can be attached by the manifold, motor feet, tank or by a fabricated bracket depending on the circumstances.
