Filtration
The majority of hydraulic failures are caused as a direct result of contamination in the fluid. An oil sample taken from the reservoir may appear clean to the naked eye, but particles too small to see can cause irreparable damage to pumps, valves & other vital components in the hydraulic system. The smallest particle visible to the human eye is approximately 40 micron in size, yet most hydraulic components need a filter element of 10 micron or lower in order to maintain the cleanliness level required. Being able to control & reduce the level of this contaminant can drastically extend the working life of these expensive products.
At Hydraproducts Ltd we hold a wide range of hydraulic filters to meet the needs of most industrial & mobile applications. As an authorised UK distributor for OMT Spa in Italy we offer a reliable and well manufactured product range. Generally, these filters are broken down into 3 product groups. Return Line, Pressure Line & Suction.
Return line filters can be either mounted directly to the reservoir of the power pack or in-line on the return side of the system. Tank top filters are available with porting above or below the tank lid & optional air breather function. In-line filters are a spin-on cannister type with options for single or double element design. These filters come with internal bypass valve as standard & options for visual or electrical indication.
Our range of pressure filters are either in-line or CETOP manifold mounted with pressure capabilities up to 420 bar & flows up to 410 l/min. Available as bypass or non-bypass filters with visual & electrical indicator options.
Suction filters are available as in-tank strainers with 90 micron wire mesh & threads ranging from ¼” to 3” or in-line spin on type with suction bypass.
